Faith in the fracture

I dedicate this poem to my loving wife. She deserves only the best and I am truly blessed to have her in my life.

POEM

10/8/2023

We mustn’t forget the happy things

The fragments that fill our life with a meaning

Fantastical things you'd find in a dream

Like sunshine and flowers, amidst a disaster

To nurture a summer we desperately yearn for

I know I’ve got issues and everyone does

I’m sorry I hurt you, regret what I’ve done

There’s no way to take back the damage been done

I promise I’ll never

Hurt you again

I only hope

That time can befriend

The trust that I’ve

Abandoned again

There was a time, even after the snow

That I could feel your touch

I could feel your breath in the cold

But now I’m lost; where did you go?

I’m lost without you here

I need you plain and clear

I told you I’m sincere

I thought that you would hear

I reach out to you but I’m left all alone

Forget just how painful love is to know

Collapse in the darkness with nowhere to go

A snowstorm begins and I'm chilled to the bone

As frostbite sets in, I start to lose hope

Can I put my faith in you?

Shivers of love I brave for us

Tis' our fate, delayed embrace

...

But in the end when I need you the most

You turn to me, now a ghost

Showing me transparency

Like a tragic love story

I'm asking sincerely, now that you hear clearly

are you still... the one for me?

We must be a team

Work diligently

Together we tarry

So try to believe
